“CHAKA” Chicken Sauté

Unbelievably moist and savory!

Ingredients [organic & fresh]

  • Chicken Breast
  • 1 Bottle “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce [we used Original]. You will use some to marinate chicken. Save 1/4 C for adding to the pasta later.
  • 15 Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Red Onion
  • 5 Green Onions
  • 4-6 Basil Leaves
  • Olive Oil
  • Pasta [about a handful of any linguini you like]
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Preparation

Marinate chicken breast in “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce Original or Zesty flavor. Marinate for at least 24 hours.

Broil marinated chicken breast for 15 minutes on each side. You can also bake the chicken for 30 minutes at 350º.

Boil your favorite pasta. Let cooked pasta cool down and then sauté in some olive oil. Place to the side.

Chop the vegetables (feel free to add any of your favorite vegetables or herbs). Then sauté to your liking with olive oil in a large sauce pan. Set aside with pasta.

Put 1 TBSP olive oil in your large saucing pan. Add chopped “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce chicken, vegetables and herbs, and  a 1/4 C of “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce.  Sauté until you are satisfied.

Serve hot!

Share the LOVE

Movin’ and Shakin’ ~ a story from one of our fans.

I wanted to share a brief story with the “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce fans about indoor cooking.

I recently moved from a suburban lifestyle, where backyard grilling was almost an everyday thing, to the city of San Francisco where I have no backyard whatsoever.

My new home is a small two bedroom apartment in the foggy part of the city [which, if you are familiar with San Francisco, means that I didn't move to Potrero Hill ;)  ] and was pretty devastated by the thought of no backyard. What would I do with all my “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce? Did this mean no more grilling? [shaking fist at sky]

Actually, quite the opposite. I’m happy to say that I couldn’t have been more wrong.

“CHAKA’S” gets used more now than ever. All it took was some creative tweaks to the recipes on the “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce website. I’ve developed a whole new style of cooking by getting creative with new herbs & vegetables, and trying new cooking methods. My 8 year old son is a great critic, too. He likes our new eating habits….but don’t tell him it’s healthy! Who knew that moving would force me out of a boring old cooking rut?

Start with a recipe, tweak it a little, and soon you’ll have a masterpiece. Bake, sauté, stir-fry, and even broil marinated “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce chicken, beef, fish, and pork.  Throw recipes together with your favorite vegetables, I love green beans, onions, and mushrooms.  Try new spices and herbs like basil, dill, lemon grass, and cilantro to help the process of making meals different. I even use it in soups! And the best thing is that mediocre recipes can be brought back to life with the amazing taste of “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce.

Here are two recipes that I added to the “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce website. Chicken in a dish. Salmon baked with love.

“CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce Amazeballs Yams & Tri-Tip

As the weather changes we’ll be trying our indoor cooking recipes and making modifications to our old standbys.

Last week we tried a Tri-Tip and Yams concoction. Didn’t take too long and was….as the title says….amazeballs.

Ingredients

  • “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce [we used original]
  • 3lb Tri-Tip [we used locally grown free-range beef]

  • Olive Oil
  • Yams [we used 2, 1 large red and 1 large brown: cut into 1/2" slices. See photo below]

Preparation

-Marinate the tri-tip in “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce for two days.
-Pour olive oil in an oven pan.
-Place the tri-tip in the pan.
-Put all ingredients in and around the tri-tip. We put the yams in first, the fresh garlic, and then the seasonings.

-Cook at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until meat and yams are cooked to your liking.

We completed the meal with a nice green salad.

“CHAKA’S” MMM Stroganoff with Turkey

The other night we tried the “CHAKA’S” MMM Stroganoff for Kids recipe with a lean turkey and whole grain noodles.

It was FANTABULUDICRIS.

Really fast and easy, hardly cost us anything [$12], served 5, AND our token kid loved it. LOVED it.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground turkey
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce [we used original]
  • Noodles [we used whole grain]

Preparation

Pan fry ground turkey until brown.
Add “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce and sour cream.
Mix into cooked drained noodles.

We also had broccoli. We steamed an organic broccoli over water and “CHAKA’S” MMM Sauce. It gave the broccoli a great smokey flavor.
